STAIND Feared Terror Attack During Video Shoot
April 1, 2003STAIND were recently in Toronto to shoot the video for the lead-off single from their forthcoming disc, "14 Shades Of Grey". Bassist Johnny April explained the location telling MuchMusic, "Somebody thought that if we did it in New York, it's more likely to get attacked by terrorists, so we didn't want to do it New York. I was just like, 'OK, whatever you guys want to do.' So that's the real inside scoop It's kind of silly, huh?" As for his opinions on the war in Iraq, April says, "I choose not to give any of those I don't hear anybody asking the President about music, so why are they asking me about the war? I'm not qualified to even talk about that."
"14 Shades Of Grey" was produced by longtime STAIND collaborator Josh Abraham and is due on May 6 through Elektra Records. STAIND will perform "Price To Play" live on "Late Night With Conan O'Brien" on May 1.
